ABSTRACT
In this review, we analyze current asthma papers and examine research that have looked at various aspects of asthma prevalence, risk factors & preventive measure, causes of asthma, diagnosis, and treatment. There are numerous risk & protective variables. Asthma is caused by both genetic and molecular factors. The latest ideas and challenges in implementing in a collection of environmental factors like diet & stress to which an individual is exposed and applying it to allergy disorders and asthma are discussed, as well as genetic and epigenetic factors. In asthma, common symptoms are - wheezing, dyspnea, chest-tightness, and coughing. In chronic asthma patients, long term therapy is required whereas in acute asthma, short term therapy is required seen in recently pandemic i.e. covid pandemic. In this article we will focused on chronic & acute asthma treatment (Maintenance & reliever medications). Montelukast and zafirlukast are good examples of Leukotriene antagonist. These Medications are used for routine maintenance. These drugs work by chemically altering and suppressing a type of inflammatory mediator known as leukotriene, these leukotriene promotes long-term inflammation broncho-constriction and mucus production. So leukotriene antagonists are used to suppress inflammation in asthma patients. These drugs can enhance lung functions and reduce the need for-adrenergic agonists, resulting in considerable symptom relief. This review also explains about biopolymers which have broad utilization in many fields including food, pharma industry and biomedical engineering. Biopolymers are native polymers that made by living thing. Monomeric segments are covalently bound to make bigger molecules in biopolymers.
Keywords: Molecular factors, Epigenetic factors, Leukotrienes antagonist, Broncho-constriction, Inflammation, Maintenance and reliever medications.
