A CASE REPORT ON TOPICAL CORTICOSTEROID INDUCED TINEA INCOGNITO

ABSTRACT
In present days topical corticosteroids had made a dynamic change they are used for several skin diseases. Three cases are describe in the entailing paragraphs in which the local application of the topical corticosteroid to fungal infection have resulted in surprising clinical pictures. The age of the patients were 50, 30 and 49 years respectively. Clinical features of tinea corporis, tinea cruris were found in the patients, the skin condition got worsen due to overuse of topical corticosteroids resulting in tinea incognito. Misuse of topical steroids is a serious problem not only in India but also all over the world.
