ABSTRACT
The patients from Type 2 diabetes sometimes from increased lipid levels and increased hypertension also. These conditions may cause several complications and it requires multidrug therapy in single dose regimen. So combination of Rosuvastatin and Teneligliptin fulfil these requirements with minimum risk factors. The aim of the present study was to develop and validate a simple and accurate UV spectroscopic method for the estimation of Rosuvastatin and Teneligliptin in synthetic mixture at 240nm. The method is validated for linearity, accuracy, precision and robustness according to ICH guidelines. In this
method methanol is used as a solvent for spectroscopic analysis. The molar absorptivity of Rosuvastatin and Teneligliptin was found to be at 243 nm and 296 nm respectively. The obtained results by this method were linear, precise, accurate and rugged with RSD values less than 2% and the percentage limits was also within standard limit (90-110%). This method can be used for quantification of Rosuvastatin and Teneligliptin further.
