A MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPROACH TOWARDS SECONDARY INFERTILITY THROUGH AYURVEDIC SYSTEM OF MEDICINE

ABSTRACT

Infertility is the condition of unable to beget a viable child after 1 years or more with regular unprotected coitus. Primary and secondary infertility are the two types of infertility. Secondary infertility is failure to get a child following a previous pregnancy. Mritvatsa vandhya is type of infertility explained in Haritha Samhita. In this case report patient presented with unable to beget a viable child after one still birth and a spontaneous abortion. Complete investigation was done and she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Disease along with Hydrosalphinx in ultrasonography reports. She was treated with Panchakarma treatment like virechana with Eranda tailam, yogavasti along with internal medication like Dusivishari gutika, Arogyavardhini vati, Lodhrasavam, satavari churna, combination of Pushyanuga churna, bolabandha ras, vaikrantha bhasma and laghusuteshekar ras. After 2 months of treatment she got naturally conceived and completed 2 month of gestation without any complication till date and now continuing ANC care along with ayurvedic medicine.
