ABSTRACT
Ayurveda is one of the oldest systems of medicine with a global impact. The Ayurvedic system's satisfying historical origins have gained worldwide attention and respect. The major aim is to integrate and balance the aliments, as well as to avoid sickness and improve an individual's bodily and emotional well-being. Anjana (Collyrium) is a Netra Kriyakalpas that has been mentioned in Dinacharya (daily regimen) and has been shown to be beneficial to eye disorders. It is a traditional medical treatment that is administered to the lower palpebral conjunctiva or cul-de-sac using the Shalaka instrument. According to their hydrophilicity and lipophilicity, the active principle will be delivered to the interior of the eye and passed by their
respective paths. Many disorders such as glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, and others are now addressed in modern ophthalmology using oral drugs, topical instillation, refractive aids, and surgical procedures. In this sense, Ayurveda offers a unique therapeutic methodology. As a result, this research is being undertaken to better understand the role of Anjana (Collyrium) in ocular symptoms.
