REVIEW: EMULGEL FOR TOPICAL APPLICATION

ABSTRACT

In topical drug delivery system drug are applied on the skin. The emulgel are the one of the best preparation for the topical application and is recent technology in novel drug delivery system. Emulgel is use to treat the pain cause by muscle ache, cold, headache, and other injuries pain. Advantages of the emulgel are applied on the targeted site and give rapid action. Emulgel are containing the gelling agent they easily delivered the hydrophobic drug. Emulgel are use the several dermatological properties like thixotropic easily, spreadable, easily removable, emollients, non-staining, water soluble, longer shelf life, transparent and greaseless. So that the emulgel are the most conventional system available in topical drug delivery system.
