ABSTRACT
Toxicology may be defined as the study of harmful and adverse effects of drugs and other chemicals constituents found in plants, which may increase the chances of mortality or weakness in the general health, physically as well as mentally. The present study has been conducted to evaluate any adverse effect of ethanolic extracts of Aegle marmelos and Cymbopogon citratus separately and combine ethanolic extract of both these herbs in 1:1 ratio as these plants have been used in the cure and treatment of various diseases and for health care. Five groups of albino mice were made for each extract, Group I to IV used as test groups and Group V as control group for comparing the behavior of mice from all test groups. Both extracts of different doses as 300, 1000, 2000, and 5000 mg/kg body weight were administered to test groups respectively and control group received normal saline 10ml/kg. All the animals were observed for mortality, wellness parameters and body weight for 14 days.
