QUANTITATIVE DETERMINATION OF FEXINIDAZOLE IN BULK AND TABLET DOSAGE FORM BY RP-HPLC

ABSTRACT
An Simple, sensitive, specific and precise RP-HPLC method for the determination of Fexinidazole in Pharmaceutical dosage form. Chromatogram was run through Kromasil C18 (150mm x 4.6, 5μm), Mobile phase containing 0.1% OPA: Acetonitrile taken in the ratio 55:45 % v/v was pumped through column at a flow rate of 1ml/min. Temperature was maintained at 30°C. Optimized wavelength selected was 279.0nm. Retention time of Fexinidazole was found to be 2.298 min. %RSD of the Fexinidazole were and found to be 0.8. %RSD of Method precision of Fexinidazole was found to be 0.5. %Recovery was obtained as 99.94% for Fexinidazole. %Assay was obtained as 99.93% for Fexinidazole. LOD, LOQ values obtained from regression equation of Fexinidazole were 1.53, 4.65. Regression equation of Fexinidazole is y = 28245x + 46881. Retention times were decreased and that run time was decreased, so the method developed was simple and economical that can be adopted in regular Quality control test in Industries.
