ABSTRACT
Clomiphen Citrate is an ovarian stimulant which is used for ovulation induction in infertile women. A patient who is suffering from infertility was treated with clomiphen citrate. Instead of controlled ovulation induction, it has shown an excessive stimulation effect on her ovaries. The patient’s ovaries are sensitive to clomiphen citrate, so responded in an exaggerated way. Her ovaries produced multiple follicles which are consequently converted into cysts that lead to a condition known as Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS).
