EFFICACY OF RASNADI GUGGUL VATI IN THE MANAGEMENT OF NADIVRANA (PILONIDAL SINUS)-A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT

Acharya Sushruta has explained brief description of Nadivrana in Sushrut Samhita. According to clinical feature of Nadivrana it can be correlate with pilonidal sinus. Pilonidal sinus can cause sever pain and discharge with discomfort. Acharya Sushruta explained Nadivrana in Visarpanadisthanrogadikan chapter. As per ayurveda Bruhat Nighantu in vatvyadhi are mentioned treatment of Nadivran. Rasnadi guggul vati is the best treatment of Nadivrana. Because it is helpful in safty, high efficacy in the management of Nadivrana. So we can treat the disease with properties like deepan, pachan, vednashamak, vishaghna, vranashodhana, vranaropak, jantughna. In this way we hypothesize that drugs which could reduce pain, tenderness, swelling and discharge which helpful in management of nadivrana. AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of Rasnadi Guggul Vati in the management of Nadivrana (Pilonidal sinus).
