TO PREPARATION AND EVALUATION OF BACOPA AND COW COLOSTRUM POWDER DRUG

ABSTRACT

Medicinal plant from the backbone of traditional system of medicine in india. Many plant Bacopa monneri (L.) Wettest. (Scrophulariaceae), is a well – known medicinal herb in Indian system of medicine as Brahami (Sanskrit) and Indian water hyssop. The plant is commonly found in wet, damp and marshy areas. Indian Materia Medica (1500 AD) cites the use of the plant as a brain tonic, which is responsible for the memory enhancing is a triterpenoid saponin called Bacosides‘. Bacosides enhance the efficiency of transmission of nerve impulse there by strengthening memory and cognition.[1]
