Abstract

VALIDATED ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR THE ASSAY OF CYCLOSPORINE- A REVIEW

ABSTRACT

Cyclosporine (figure1) is a calcineurin inhibitor used as a immunosuppressive drug that is given orally or intravenously to people who have had a kidney, liver, heart, or other organ transplant. It is a potent drug that helps to prevent rejection of the transplanted organ by the body. In the present paper the authors have reviewed the validated analytical methods already published till now in the literature for the estimation of Cyclosporine in pharmaceutical formulations and in human blood.
