AN AYURVEDIC MANAGEMENT OF VANDYATWA ASSOCIATED WITH POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME- A CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Infertility is a condition in which couples fails to conceive within one year of regular unprotected coitus. Infertility has been a major social stigma since ages. Infertility associated with Polycystic ovarian syndrome is major cause in present days. The present case report is about ayurvedic management of PCOS causing infertility in couples, in which infertility is due to female factor, Anovulation. The case was diagnosed as Vandyatwa (infertility) due to Nashtartava (Amenorrhea). Treatment plan include both shodhana (purification) and shaman (palliative) lines of interventions. The total duration of study was 3 months and patient got conceived.
