ABSTRACT
A Method for determination of Nickel content in Sorbitol by ICP-MS and method was validated and applied, for routine analysis in ICP-MS technique. Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) excellent tool for characterization of the elementary composition of many samples. In this study Nickel metal as described toxic metal defined in USP(233) linearity, Method precision, Accuracy, Robustness and ruggedness parameters have been taken into account and evaluated for the method validation. The results obtained for the recovery of Nickel metals between 92.0 % and 101.4 % were found.
The detection limits of all elements studied showed the suitability of the procedure for routine analyses. Summarizing it can be concluded that the described analytical procedures to measure the mass fractions Nickel elements in Sorbitol samples.
