MEATAL STENOSIS: CASE REPORT

ABSTRACT
Meatal stenosis is a rare condition which denote narrowing of the urethra which can be congential or acquire. It is characterized by pain or burning sensation while urinating, trouble with fully emptying bladder, a drop of blood at the tip of penis after urination. Most of the cases are diagnosed by physical examination. Surgery is considered to be the best treatment. In our case report, a male patient aged 52 years was admitted with complaints of difficulty, pain and burning sensation while passaging urine. On examining the patient we observed that size
of external urethral meatus was decreased and patient was diagnosed with meatal stenosis. Before performing surgery under anesthesia patient was recommended to be on fasting and then he was treated with antiobiotics.
