APPLICATION OF AYURVEDIC SWASTHVRITTAIN COVID 19 PANDEMIC

ABSTRACT

We are yet very far from treatment Protocol of covid-19 infection, though it is evolving at a fast pace. In the absence of effective curative treatment, prevention is the key to control the pandemic. Holistic Approach is necessary to prevent and treat Covid – 19 disease and to control the pandemic. Our Ancient Ayurved science supplements allopathy or modern medicine in prevention and treatment measures for the pandemic. The well established Ayurvedic principles of prevention of spread of infection (Swasthvritta - Janpadodhwamsa) have been accepted and implemented by the Government of India and Ayush. In addition, the immunity enhancing measures (Ayush quath, Deepan, pachan ayurvedic home remedies, rasayan dravyas and Strengthening respiratory systems’ medicines) along with Yogic practices have helped in the treatment of Covid -19 infection. Thus Ayurveda medicine and Swasthvritta measures have supplemented allopathy in a very effective way to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic and has been very useful to the Indian Society.
