ABSTRACT

The term “alkaloid” (alkali-like) is commonly used to designate basic heterocyclic nitrogenous compounds of plant origin that are physiologically active., History of Alkaloids, Classification, Function of alkaloids in plants, some alkaloids is extremely poisonous, Occurrence and distribution of alkaloids, Isolation/Extraction of alkaloids, Tests for Alkaloids, and Therapeutic Activity/Uses of Alkaloids.
