ABSTRACT
Background: In traditional system of medicines, Unani medicine has great importance, day by day due to its low cost and less side effects it becomes popular, mostly plant origin drugs are used for treatment and prevention of many diseases. Gentiana Kurroo Royle (GK) flower tops (Gule-Ghafis) has been traditionally used for the treatment of inflammation, pain, fever, hepatitis in Unani System of Medicine. Aims and objective: of this review to search literature for the pharmacological activities, phytochemical investigation, pharmacological studies, macroscopic and microscopic features and its medicinal uses. Conclusion: Gentiana kurroo Royle is a medicinal
plant that is referenced in the Unani and Ayurveda systems and is used to cure a variety of ailments. The flower tops are historically utilised as immunomodulators, but they also have anti-alzheimer, anti-diabetic, and anti-arthritic properties.
