ABSTRACT
Every creature in this universe tries to reproduce and increase its progeny. The progeny once again reproduces and keeps the species alive. Motherhood is the essence of being a woman. It is state which is rewarded and worshipped even by the God. The function of reproduction is the noblest and should be the most reverent of all human power. God has given his magnanimous gift only to the woman therefore, she made mother. Woman is considered as one of the greatest human race. Though, the stri and puruṣa are the main contributors to the universal progeny but more importance should be given to stri. The stri itself denotes its importance. The sex which gives shelter to the garbha and conceptive material develops from ovum to
fetus is called "stri ". Although the ṣaḍaṅga śarira is common in both the sexes but there are some differences in pratyaṅga, srotasa, sira and dhamani in both sexes. The main difference is because of the yoni, garbhaśaya, stanyasaya, artavavaha srotasa etc.
