EFFECT OF DIGITALIZATION AND E-LEARNING ON SCHOOL-GOING CHILDREN

ABSTRACT
Nowadays it becomes impossible to live without the internet, digital gadgets, cell phones, social media, etc. In short, the one who is expert or used to with such digital technology is considered as eligible and has many opportunities. Digitalization is the incorporation of digital technologies into business or social processes and it is transformative. Any sort of learning that is accompanied by technology is referred to as e-learning. It refers to a set of technology-assisted learning strategies that can be used to help students learn. It includes computer and network-enabled sharing of knowledge and skills. Intranet and extranets like audio or video cassette, CD-ROM, and satellite television are all used to deliver content. Image, audio, text, animation, and streaming video are all examples of media. This is a literature review that looked into the effects of digitalization and e-learning on school-going children. Eight research articles related to digitalization and e-learning were identified and studied. Digitalization makes the whole world close in just a one-click and makes things happen effortlessly and by avoiding wastage of time. While e-learning is mostly used to improve a learner's understanding of a certain topic. Because of the pandemic COVID 19 also, it becomes essential and useful. But both digitalization and e-learning are affecting the physical, mental and social health of school-going children. Any discovery has its positives and negatives. In the same way, digitalization and e-learning show both advantages and disadvantages particularly on school-going children. Therefore, before blindly using digital gadgets and e-learning for school-going children, it is necessary to assess all the possible effects on them.
