Antibiotic resistance develops due to repeated and unwanted use of antibiotics. This can be overcome by using drugs obtained from using natural plant sources. Large number of medicinal drugs can be isolated from various plant sources . Two of such plants are Tridax procumbens Linn and Catharanthus roseus which belong to the family Asteraceae and Apocynaceae. In this present study, the antibacterial activity of leaf extract of Tridax procumbens Linn and Catharanthus roseus was prepared by using
ethanol as a solvent and tested against various bacteria include Escherichia coli, streptococcus aureus and klebsiella pneumoniae.
