OVERVIEW OF THE PRACTICE SCHOOL: HOSPITAL TRAINING

ABSTRACT
Practice school was part of the curriculum as specified in the PCI syllabus for the bachelor's degree in pharmacy. The training was conducted at Care 'n' Cure Children's Hospital, Vizianagaram for a period of 150 hours during 1st semester of 4th year pharmacy. The hospital training enabled us to gain knowledge about the hospital system as whole, equipments used in the hospital, dispensing of drugs, communication with physicians, ensuring patient safety, firstaid care etc. Externships provide real-world experience as well as build résumés and professional contacts. Outcome of my hospital training is Problem analysis, professional identity, communication, collaboration and Pharmacist and society.
