ETHNOMEDICINAL PLANTS AGAINST JAUNDICE USED BY BHEEL TRIBES OF DHAR DISTRICT, MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA

ABSTRACT
The present study of the ethnomedicinal plants used for jaundice disease carried out during 2020-2021. The ethnomedicinal plants against jaundice used by Bheel tribes of Dhar district, Madhya Pradesh. The present paper deals with the tribal medicinal plants which are used for treating jaundice. They are settled agriculturist and have a very rich knowledge on plant based resources utilization for their survival since time immemorial. During the survey a total of 21 plant species belonging to 20 genera and 17 families were identified as scientific name, local name, family, part used and mode of administration of medicine. Being used for treatment of jaundice. The
plants were enumerated alphabetically according to their Most commonly used species for treatment of jaundice was Adansonia digitata, Asparagus racemosus, Barleria prionitis, Haldina cardifolia, Phyllanthus amara, Senna tora and Saccharum officinarum . Further work is suggested to elucidate the possible mechanism of action of these ethnomedicinal plant used against jaundice disease of study area
