ABSTRACT
Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a rare clinical neuro- radiological syndrome characterized by seizures, headache, altered mental status and visual loss. Most of the neuroimaging shows white matter changes in parieto-occipital lobes of the brain. If untreated, preeclampsia can leads to eclampsia. Here, we report a primipara patient of age 22years old female who presented complaints of seizures, drooling of saliva, tongue bite and loss of consciousness on the 10th day. MRI of brain revealed moderate sub-cortical white matter
edema at bilateral parasaggital frontal and parieto-occipital lobes-possible PRES. She was treated with anti-epileptics, antibiotics and monitoring of blood pressure. PRES can be resolved within a week if treated early.
