ABSTRACT
Garbhasravi vandhya is the term used by Harita Samhita under infertility. Recurrent pregnancy loss is defined as three or more consecutive pregnancy losses < 20 weeks gestation or with a fetal weight < 500 g. The American Society for Reproductive Medicine now defines RPL as two or more failed pregnancies confirmed by sonographic or histopathological examination. Three widely accepted causes of RPL are parental chromosomal abnormalities, antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, and structural uterine abnormalities. Along with LPD is one of the cause for recurrent abortion. The available conventional treatments in modern medicines are progesterone, HCG like hormonal therapy, aspirin, low dose
heparin etc. Aforesaid treatments have failures and complications also. In this case report patient suffered from anxiety to conceive along with previous history of 3 primary RPL. As the complete investigations were normal with endometrial hypoplasia, the patient was treated with panchakarma treatments like virechana with Abhayadi modaka, Madhutailika vasti, Uttaravasti with Ksheerabala, along with internal medications are Aswagandhachurna with Swarna bhasma, Phalasarpis, Pushpadhanva ras, Bhringarajasava. After 3 months of treatment patient conceived naturally and completed first trimester without any aneuploidy and now continuing ANC care along with ayurvedic medicines. Panchakrma with ayurvedic medicines offer a good approach to manage RPL.
