A REVIEW ON FORMULATION DEVELOPMENT & INVITRO EVALUATION OF IMMEDIATE RELEASE TABLETS OF EFAVIRENZ CYCLODEXTRIN COMPLEXES

ABSTRACT

The prime aim of this project is to improve the solubility of Efavirenz by preparation of cyclodextrin complexes followed by formulating as immediate release tablets to achieve immediate action, The main objective of the present work is to develop an immediate release tablets if efavirenz which show improved oral bioavailability of the drug along with getting rapid onset of inaction using suitable excipients and technique, To prepare cyclodextrin complexes of efavirenz in order into improve the insolubility and dissolution. To carry out the characterization of drug and incompatibility studies of drug and excipients. To study the influence of excipients ion drug release from such tablets and into improve the irate of release of drug from the tables. To formulate immediate release efavirenz tablets by suitable method. To carry out reformulation studies ion impure drug, ire-compressional characterization of physical immixture of drug and excipients.
