A ROBOTIC PILL: AN INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY IN DRUG DELIVERY

ABSTRACT

The robotic inventions are emerging in the pharmaceutical field to meet the global challenges in health care system. The major problem associated with injectable dosage forms in case of type–I diabetes can be overcome by the innovation of Rani Pill and oral doses of insulin capsules. Rani pill and oral doses of insulin capsules are suitable for biologic hormone therapy to treat acromegaly, diarrhoea associated with some tumors etc. Tiny Sensor makes a communication data channel between the physician and patients with conditions like depression, schizophrenia, and cancer, often struggle to take medications. By using this innovative technology, the correct dose of medication can be administered to the patient and improved changes in their lifestyles and activity levels. This paper reviewed the innovative technology of robotic pills are Rani Pill, Oral insulin capsules and tiny sensors.
