CRITICAL REVIEW OF KAIDARYA (MURRAYA KOENIGII) ON DIFFERENT AYURVEDIC LITERATURE

ABSTRACT
Kaidarya, a medicinally important herb of Indian origin, has been used for centuries in the Ayurvedic system of medicine. Roots, bark and leaves are demulcent, depurative, anthelmintic, febrifuge, stomachic, appetizing, carminative, anodyne, anti-inflammatory, anti-septic and tonic. They are useful in vitiated conditions of kapha and pitta, hyperdipsia, burning sensation, pruritus, leprosy, skin diseases, leucoderma, anorexia, helminthiasis, dyspepsia, colic, flatulence, diarrhea, dysentery, vomiting, inflammations and foul ulcers.
