EVALUATION OF PATIENT ADHERENCE OF ANTIDIABETES THERAPY

ABSTRACT
The success of Diabetes Mellitus therapy is very much influenced by the patient towards treatment. Patients with a good level of awareness will result in optimal results while maintaining health quality. Meanwhile, patients with a low attitude can cause complications, and can even lead to worsening of the disease. This study aims to realize Diabetes Mellitus patient adherence to Anti-diabetic Drugs. The research was conducted at the Outpatient Clinic of Siti Rahmah Islamic Hospital, Padang. Data were collected directly using a questionnaire sheet which was validated using MMAS-8. The study was conducted in May-June 2018. The results showed that 27.14% of respondents were obedient, 45.71% of respondents were moderate adherence, and 27.14% of respondents were high compliance.
