Abstract

CONTROLLING SERIOUS DISEASES VIA PLANNED DIET/ALKALINE FOODS

Alrawi Rakhad* and Al-Rawi Rafal A.

ABSTRACT

There is so much information surrounding serious diseases and diet. It is un- respectful not to separate the myths from the facts. That is especially true when it comes to trendy diets. The alkaline foods are often come up in scientific debate about controlling and prevention of serious diseases including COVI-19. Diet/ alkaline foods describe groups of foods that may have an effect on the pH balance of the body. Researchers believed that certain foods can affect the pH of the body and that; the change in pH may be used to prevent or treat disease. Still evidence is debatable by clinical dietitians or other health professionals, though some have noted that eating natural foods as this diet recommends may have incidental health benefits unrelated to body pH. Medicine practitioners proposed that alkaline foods have been promoted to treat or prevent cancer, heart disease, and other illnesses. Blood pH is maintained between 7.35 and 7.45 by acid–base homeostasis mechanisms. Levels of pH above 7.45 are referred to as alkalosis and that below 7.35 as acidosis. Both are potentially serious on health. Nevertheless, as these alkaline foods can affect blood pH for the purpose of treating a range of diseases is debatable by scientific research.
