DEVELOPMENT OF COSMETIC TONICS RECIPES, USING NATURAL AND PLANT RESOURCES OF GEORGIA

ABSTRACT
The terms medical cosmetics, dermocosmetics, active cosmetics are often used in scientific literature and promotional materials to refer to cosmetic products, that have a healing effect on the structure of the skin. The most commonly used cosmetic procedures are facial skin cleansing and normalization of its pH. The flora of Georgia contains a large number of different plants, the number of mineral springs is up to 2000 names, including the thermal species. Such data allow the development of a wide range of cosmetic remedies, using mineral and plant resources of Georgia. This article provides data on the
development of cosmetic tonics recipes. Borjomi thermal water was used as the aqueous phase, from medicinal plants were used leaves and shoots of green tea, eucalyptus leaves, scumpia and aloe tree, jasmine flowers and seeds, pharmacy camomile and calendula flowers, grape seeds, tangerine and orange peel, rose hips .Use of salicylic, tartaric, citric, glycolic acids and sodium citrate in the recipes allows to carry out the light surface peeling and to get a buffering effect. Zinc and copper salts can improve the structure of the skin. As emulsifiers were used PEG-40 Hydrogenated castor oil and propylene glycol. The combination of the above substances, as well as some others, allowed the development of cosmetic tonics recipes for the treatment of fat, dry, problem and normal skin.
