*Dhananjay Kumar, Pooja Prajapati and Navjot Singh

ABSTRACT

The objective of present work is to develop RP-HPLC method for simultaneous determination of Telmisartan and Fenofibrate and its validation. After considering the solubility, stability, column performance and flow rate, mixture of two solvents, methanol: Water in the ratio of 90:10v/v pH adjusted to 3.0 with glacial acetic acid was selected as the mobile phase for method development. In the present research work a successful attempt was made for estimation of telmisartan and Fenofibrate by High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The method was developed by experimentation based on through literature survey and ascertained by statistical parameter of sampling. The simplicity, rapidity reproducibility and economy of the proposed method completely fulfill the objective of the research work. In the present work, application of RP-HPLC for analysis of selected drug formulation was successfully attempted using Shimadzu LC-160 ATvp Liquid chromatography. Considering the solubility, Solvent triangle optimization, column performance, detection wavelength and flow rate, mixture of methanol, Water in the ratio of 90:10 was selected as a mobile phase for the analysis.

Keywords: RP-HPLC, Telmisartan, Fenofibrate, methanol, Water.
