PRANASHTA SHALYA & ITS MODERN CLINICAL INTERPRETATION IN PRESENT SCENARIO-A REVIEW

ABSTRACT
Pranashta means which suddenly disappears or not available or that which isn't visible, in other words we can also say it as unnoticeable foreign body hidden inside the body and if it's left unnoticed it may lead colorful conditions. After reading the commentary of Acharya Dalhana Shalya[1] can be understood (defined) as, which moves faster, which beget injury or Which beget pain I.e. Thing which causes pain is called as a Shalya, but our Acharyas has also described that if food particulars are taken in unhappy volume or in toxic form may also work as an Shalya, other conditions like Vrikka Ashmari[2] (renal monuments) and Mrita Garbha[3] may also acts as a Shalya. Here we have described the different types of shalyas, there swaroop, there
gatis, mode of entry in our body, place of lodgement, there general features and co-relation with inflammation and the older and newer technique to detect them. Here we have tried to put some situation and conditions which mimic with the features of pranasta Shalya. A newer idea of Pranasta Shalya is being tried to introduce here whether Pranasta Shalya may be beneficial to us or not.
