A PEER REVIEW ON CONCEPT OF VAJIKARANA: A UNIQUE BRANCH OF AYURVEDA

ABSTRACT

Ayurveda is a system that promotes, maintains, and eradicates disease by utilizing natural principles. Ayurveda has 2 main goals i.e., Health protection and promotion, and disease cure. Vajikarana is one of the branches among the eight branches of ayurvedic medicine. Vajikarana could be used to sexual health and cure sexual diseases. Sexuality and reproduction are so important in Ayurveda that an entire discipline, Vajikarana, is dedicated for improving fertility and rejuvenating sexual and reproductive energy. Now it is need of time to produce mentally & physically healthy offspring. As a result, good sperm qualities must be produced in order to meet these criteria. It also aids in the in the resolution of sexual issues such as infertility, impotence, low sperm count, and so on Ayurveda is a system that uses natural principles to promote, maintain and eradicate diseases. Ayurveda has always stressed on producing a healthy progeny. Hence to fulfil these criteria good qualities of sperm should produce. It also helps in resolving the sexual related problems like infertility, impotence, decreased sperm count etc.
