BIOCHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF INORGANIC ACID AND BASIC RADICALS OF THULASI ENNAI – A POLYHERBAL SIDDHA FORMULATION

ABSTRACT

Bronchial asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease causes serious health problem among children. Siddha system of medicine practiced over centuries for treating various diseases including even chronic conditions. Thulasi ennai a polyherbal siddha formulation reduce symptoms of bronchial asthma in children. The present study revealed that inorganic acid radicals such as carbonates, chlorides, sulfates, sufides, phosphates, fluoride and oxalate, borates, nitrates and basic radicals such has lead, arsenic, mercury, copper, ferric, ferrous, zinc, silver and magnesium showed that positive results. The formulation contains trace element of fluoride and oxalate and there are no toxic heavy metals reported in thulasi ennai.
