ABSTRACT
COVID-19 is generally considered a respiratory illness, there is thrombotic potential that was not anticipated. The haematological disorder is one of the most important complications of this disease, the pathophysiology of the disease and subsequent coagulopathy produce an inflammatory, hypercoagulable state. A significant inflammatory reaction in the alveoli sets off, a localized coagulopathy caused by damage cascade of inflammatory thrombosis in the pulmonary vasculature. This would be accompanied by a widespread hypercoagulable condition in individuals with more severe illness,
which culminates in macro and microvascular thrombosis. In this review study, we tried to collect the most important details about coronavirus disease from many recent studies and research, also, we reviewed thromboembolic pathophysiology and discuss its relationship with coronavirus disease. Understanding the hypercoagulable state is very important to know the causes, prophylaxis, appropriate treatment and reducing the death rate caused by this complication.
