Abstract

A CASE STUDY OF DUSTAVRANA TREATED WITH JATYADIVRANOPCHARA.

ABSTRACT

The present case study throw light on how to treat poorly healing wound with help of ayurvedic medicine (vrana prakshalana, Jatyadi vranopchara, Nitya virechana and oral medication)This study explains a age of 70-year-old man suffering from Dusta vrana- Non healing ulcer (on the Right) grade 2. Complain of severe pain in the foot and foul-smelling with necroed areas was present. Wound dressing with Panchvalakla kashaya and jatyadi vranopachar was done. The pain decreased within 20 days and further pain relieving medication was stopped. Over a time, interval of nearly 2 months, necrotic areas disappeared and in wound seen healthy granulation tissue and wound healed.
