ABSTRACT
It has been accomplished the development of a simple and rapid UV-spectrophotometer and estimate method for the evaluation of Oseltamivir Phosphate, which is used in the treatment and prophylaxis of both influenza A and influenza B viruses. The present study describes the comparison of two method development of a simple, reproducible UV-visible spectrophotometer for the quantitative determination of Oseltamivir phosphate (OSP). A UV-visible spectrophotometer method1 with 1cm quartz cells and distilled water solvent were employed. It obeyed Beer’s law in the concentration range of 10 to 70μg/mL having correlation coefficient of 0.999, Percentage recovery (99.85%). A UV-visible spectrophotometer method 2 with 1cm quartz cells and distilled methanol solvent were
employed. Beer's law was followed in the concentration range of 10 to 50 g/mL, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9987. (100.02%). In terms of linearity, precision, accuracy, recovery, limit of detection (LOD), and limit of quantitation (LOQ), the developed technique was verified.
