ABSTRACT
A new simple, accurate, economical and stability-indicating high-performance thin layer chromatographic method (HPTLC) for Analysis of pharmaceutical and natural compounds and newer drugs is usually utilized in all the stages of drug discovery and development process. High-performance thin layer chromatography is one of the subtle instrumental techniques supported the entire capabilities of thin layer chromatography (TLC). The advantages of automation, scanning, full optimization, selective detection principle, minimum sample preparation, hyphenation, then on enable it to be a strong analytical tool for chromatographic information of complex mixtures of
pharmaceuticals, natural products, clinical samples, food stuffs, and so on. Different types of enhancements are often made to the essential method of thin-layer chromatography to automate the various steps, to extend the resolution achieved, and to permit more accurate quantitative measurements.
Keywords: High performance thin layer chromatography, chromatography optimisation, quantitative measurement.
