PHARMACEUTICAL AND ANALYTICAL STUDY OF RASAPUSHPADYA MALAHARA

ABSTRACT
Rasapushpadya malahara is a preparation mentioned by acharya Sadananda sharma in his work Rasa tarangini. The main ingredient being Rasapushpa and sikthataila as a base after the preparation shodhana of parada done according to Rasendrasara sangraha, Patana method from this 230gm of shudha parada obtained out of 250gm of raw parada. Sodhana of kasisa done according to rasatarangini. swinna method from this 150gms of shuddha kasisa obtained out of 250gm of raw kasisa. Preparation of Rasapushpa with 147.5gms of prematerial, obtained 27.44gms of Rasapushpa with 7gms of it and 168gms of
siktha taila.175gms of Rasapushpadya malahara was prepared. Prepared Rasapushpa and Rasapushpadya malahara was evaluated for their physico-chemical properties, it was found the total ash about 0.444% mercury content in Rasapushpa is 84.3% and chloride content in Rasapushpa is 13.6%
