Diabetes mellitus is a prevalent metabolic condition that poses a severe hazard to global public health. Numerous traditional diabetes medications have been discovered as a result of extensive research. As a result, this review aids the reader in comprehending the significance of various herbal different plants kinds of medicines that have been used traditionally to treat diabetes mellitus. The selection of antidiabetic medication depends on the nature of the diabetes, age and situation of the person, and many other factors. Alternative to synthetic agents, many herbal plants with hypoglycaemic properties are known from across the world. This review article discusses the properties of various herbal plants such as gymnema sylvestre, swertia chirata, pterocarpus marsupiam, and salacia reticulate, which are utilized in diabetes management.
