MACHINE LEARNING IN PHARMACY

ABSTRACT
The rapid development of technology has introduced machine learning to healthcare system. The availability of massive amount of patient related and healthcare related data, has made it possible to develop effective models to resolve many health-related issues. In addition to employing machine learning in patient care, it has also enabled more research in other pharmaceutical fields like pharmacokinetic investigation and drug discovery which have helped in reducing the cost and time required for healthcare research.The machine learning algorithms could be employed in the time consuming and costly drug discovery and clinical research areas like diagnosis of diseases like blood related illness, heart conditions, osteoarthritis etc., interaction prediction, clinical studies and epidemic outbreak prediction.
