MANAGEMENT OF SUPRAJA W.S.R. TO SECONDARY INFERTILITY: A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT
Secondary infertility is defined as the inability of a couple to conceive who had at least one prior conception. This condition can be correlated with sapraja in Ayurved.[1] Different factors are responsible for secondary infertility in woman. Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome is the most common one of the endocrinological disorder as it is characterized by different menstrual irregularities and anovulation. It can also be correlated with Nashtartava in Ayurveda. As Polycystic ovaries having multiple cysts that is Granthis, it can be correlated with Sanga srotodushti of Artavavaha srotas or Beejavaha srotas. A 28 yr female patient with previous one spontaneous abortion with diagnosed polycystic ovaries was unable to conceive after 2 years of unprotected
coitus. All the haematological reports and semen analysis reports were normal. For treatment purpose Deepan, Pachan, Shaman, Shodhan is used and the results shows the fruitful outcome of Ayurvedic treatment in the field of infertility.
