Abstract

EFFECT OF SATAVARI AND ANANTAMULA CHURNA COMBINATION IN A CASE OF DIABETIC RENAL INJURY - A CASE STUDY

ABSTRACT

Satavari and Anantamula are two drugs which are used widely in Ayurvedic therapeutics either as single herbs or in compound formulation. Various formulation like Satavaryadi Ghrita are recommended for Mutravaha Srotodusti in Ayurveda. In this case study a renoprotective effect of has been found in a case of diabetic renal injury after administration of Satavari (Asparagus racemosus) and Anantamula (Hemidesmus indicus) combination in Churna form. Although no any suger lowering effect of this combination has been found in this study.
