Many advancements have emerged to reduce the harmful effects of breast cancer such as chemotherapy, surgery, etc. which are also associated with various side effects. To overcome these scientists have made the use of advantages offered by the nanosystems i.e. nanocarriers in the fields of tumor targeting, enhanced accumulation of drugs in tumors, etc. This article shows the importance of nanocarriers in the treatment of breast cancer using photodynamic therapy thereby reducing the side effects due to other therapies.
Keywords: Breast cancer, Chemotherapy, Photodynamic therapy, Nanocarriers and Tumor targeting.
