ABSTRACT
Azelnidipine is one of the Ca++ Channel blocker used in treatment of Hypertension. Azelnidipine regulates the blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. It also redusing the pressure on them, therby making it easier for heart to pump more blood throughout the body. Telmisartan is angiotensin II receptor blocker used to treat high blood pressure. Its also used to decreses chancr of heart attack, stock, death etc.The most commonly methods for the determination of both drugs are UV-Visible Spectroscopy, HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography), RP-UPLC (Reverse Phase-Ultra Performance Liquid Chromatography), HPTLC (High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography). This article
provides critical review on methods available for the qualitative and quantitative determination of Azelnidipine and Telmisartan in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Keywords: Azelnidipine, Telmisartan, HPTLC, RP-HPLC, UV- Spectroscopy.
