ABSTRACT
Acharaya Charaka has mentioned Dashapranayatana in Sutrasthana are two shanka, marma-traya (Hridaya, Shira and Basti), Kantha, Rakta, Shukra, Oja and Guda. But in sharirsthana mentioned the Nabhi and Mamsa instead of two shankh. Achraya Laghu Vagbhata and Vruddha Vagbhata have mentioned Murdha, Jivhabandhan, Kantha, Hridaya, Nabhi, Basthi, Guda, Shukra, Oja and Rakta as a Dashapranayatana. Acharaya Bhel has mentioned the Dashapranayatana same as mentioned in charaka samhita sharirasthana. Acharya Kashyapa has mentioned the Dashapranayatana same as mentioned in Charaka samhita sutrasthana.Acharya Sushruta has mentioned the Dwadashaprana and Marma, not Dashapranayatana.
