ABSTRACT
Immunity is the ability of the body to resist the disease and capacity to fight against the causes of the disease. As the world is developing more and more industrial, materialistic and technological, the changes seen in the environment are also very much crucial to increase the chance of diseases. Moreover the lifestyle and food habits of the people have changed tremendously making them susceptible for infections again and again. The immune changes also help to understand whether there is proper response for the vaccination as well. In the current situation of CoVid 19 pandemic, people are getting affected invariably with no regard to getting vaccinated or not. Hence it is the need of the hour to dwell deep in to the parameters to assess the immunity of an individual. Assessment of leukocytes, neutrophils, monocytes, T and B lymphocytes CD4 and CD8 cells in the circulation can be measured.
Antibodies after any infection and antibodies produced due to vaccination in total are also measurable. An attempt is made here to understand the immunity as per current updates and Ayurveda and to enlist the parameters to assess the immunity as per current Standards.
