ABSTRACT
The synthesis of new metal ions (II) with 2-aminopyrimidinedithiocarbamate with phenanthroline and ethylene diamine mixed ligand complexes of types [M(2APDTC)2phen], [M(2APDTC)2en] where, 2APDTC: 2-aminopyrimidine dithiocarbamate, M: Mn(II), Fe(II), Co(II), Ni (II), Cu (II), and Zn(II), were characterized by elemental analysis, Uv–Vis, 1HNMR, IR, magnetic Susceptility molar conductivity and melting points. The conductivity data confirm the electrolyte and nonelectrolyte nature of complexes. From the obtained data octahedral geometry for the complexes was proposed.
Keywords: Coordination complexes, 2-Aminopyrimidine, dithiocarbamate, mixed ligand, transition metals.
