Abstract

A REVIEW ON AYURVEDIC REMEDIES FOR RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS

ABSTRACT

With the growing interest in herbal therapies among persons with rheumatoid arthritis, there is a need for investigation into their safety and efficacy. The purpose of this study was describing therapeutic alternatives in literature, especially those related to search for molecule acting upon the pathophysiology of rheumatoid arthritis. A computerized search was carried out through different databases. There are many herbs which are found effective in reducing pain, tender joint count and stiffness. Knowing the therapeutic alternatives and their mechanisms for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis could guide us to develop new drug.
